Rivers has thrown for seven scores, only one interception and 614 yards in two games. He's locked in right now. At the same time he's without Denario Alexander, Vincent Brown hasn't done anything yet, Kennan Allen is a rookie, Michael Floyd will be out at least a week for his neck issue (I have to think it will be multiple weeks after the hit he took) and E. Royal, I'll get to him in a moment. Rivers has looked great, but he's Philip Rivers, and he's lacking elite targets to throw the ball to. These are likely to be the best back-to-back efforts he posts this season, and you've missed it. If his O-line continues to play this well, a pretty shocking development so far, then he could be a solid QB2, but QB1 level play moving forward is unlikely to happen.FAAB BID: $10-15RUNNING BACKSDonald Brown, Colts
A mediocre talent, Brown is light years behind Ahmad Bradshaw in what he brings to the field. The 27 year old Bradshaw is always hurt though, always, and that clearly means his backup needs to be on someone's roster. Realize the Colts play the Niners in Week 3 so neither back is likely to do anything.FAAB BID: $10-15Andre Ellington, Cardinals
He's gaining looks and snaps, and now is the time to pounce on the talented rookie before he goes out and has a big game that causes his price tag skyrocket. The Cardinals still plan to use Rashard Mendenhall on early downs but it sure looks like Ellington might start to gain significant snaps on third down.FAAB BID: $5-8Felix Jones, SteelersLe'Veon Bell is inching his way back to a return to action, but the Steelers might hold him out until Week 6 after their Bye. But Fragile Feliz folks? I'm not interested. Neither should you be. He carried the ball 10 times for 37 yards on MNF. Whoopie.FAAB BID: $1-5Isaiah Pead, Rams
Pead only touched the ball three times in Week 2 but were you aware that he was on the field for only nine fewer snaps than Daryl Richardson (30 to 39)? Pead is likely already owned in leagues with deep benches or enough teams, but there are certainly scenarios in which he's available. If so, add him now. He's not only the clear cut RB2 with the Rams but he's also behind a guy in DRich who hasn't exactly excelled through two games with a 3.3 YPC mark (30 carries for 98 yards). At least Richardson has caught 10 balls for 78 yards, but he's going to need to bring more to avoid losing touches to Pead.FAAB BID: $10-15Jacquizz Rodgers, Jason Snelling, Falcons
Looks like Steven Jackson's thigh injury is going to be a multiple week issue for the 30 year old runner. That will temporarily open the door for the Falcons two others runners to have some solid workloads until SJax returns. It will likely go like this. Snelling with get the goaline work and be the add in non-PPR setups. Rodgers will be the add in PPR setups for his pass catching. Rodgers is thick, but at 5'6†he's just not an every down player (just look at his career numbers that includes a 3.6 YPC mark over 164 career attempts). Snelling has shown ample talent at times, but consistency/workload has always eluded him. These guys will just keep things warm until Jackson is back.FAAB BID Rodgers: $7-10 FAAB BID Snelling: $5-10James Starks, Packers
The Packers have a Bye in Week 4. The thought in some parts is that Eddie Lacy (concussion) will sit out through then and return in Week 5 (the team still hasn't given a timeline). Jonathan Franklin doesn't have the trust of the coaching staff, John Kuhn is banged up with a hamstring strain... and then there is Starks. As the only truly healthy/well versed back with the Packers, Starks is going to be a low level RB2/flex option until Lacy returns (Starks was the first Packers' back to run for 100 yards in 45 games). When Lacy does return one would have to think that he would still lead this team in touches, but with an uncertain timeline for return it's hard to know just how much to bid on Starks.FAAB BID: $20-25Jordan Todman, Justin Forsett, Jaguars
It doesn't really matter who you try to add cause the Jaguars and their pathetic offense are going to get blasted back to the stone age by the Seahawks in Week 3. It's going to be ugly. Maurice Jones-Drew (ankle) might even suit up this week, so go easy on these two free agents.FAAB BID Todman: $5-10 FAAB BID Forsett: $1-5WIDE RECEIVERSAustin Pettis, Rams
Through two weeks Pettis has has 11 receptions on 17 targets. He's also only produced 94 yards good for 8.5 yards per catch (his career mark is 9.0). Pettis has got the look of a guy who might be a Bye Week fill-in if you start 3 WRs and are in at least a 12 team league, but there doesn't seem to be much up here.FAAB BID: $5-10Eddie Royal, Chargers
I talked about the Royals crazy situation at wide receiver above. It's dicey at the moment. Royal will continue to man the slot and hold a role of importance in the Chargers offense. A few quick points though. (1) He scored only five touchdowns the previous four seasons. He has five in two games this season. (2) Despite all the scores, he's only caught 10 balls for 114 yards through two weeks. Someone has to add him, and he's undeniably white hot, but he's also smallish (5'10â€, 185 lbs) and has missed 10 games the past two seasons. Be careful.FAAB BID: $15-20Kendall Wright, Titans
As a rookie Wright caught 64 balls for 626 yards which qualifies as a solid rookie season. He dealt with some injuries in camp this year, but he's good to go now. After only being on the field for 19 snaps in Week 1 he saw more action and work in Week 2 catching seven of 11 targets for 54 yards. With Kenny Britt looking terrible Wright should be able to see a lot of balls fire toward him and he's got a chance to surpass last season's reception total making him a solid PPR add even if he's not going to break the bank in the yardage or touchdown categories.FAAB BID: $10-15TIGHT ENDSCharles Clay, Dolphins
Through two week he's got 163 yards receiving which is fantastic. However, he also put up 67 of those yards on one play. After catching 34 passes his first two seasons it's clear that he will have a bigger role in year three, but he's no better than the fourth option on most passing plays, and there's little reason to think that will change soon. He did get a rushing score in Week 2 though and OC Mike Sherman said they would like to use him in a fullback role often moving forward.FAAB BID: $5-10Coby Fleener, Colts
Enjoying success with Dwayne Allen dealing with injury, Fleener is still not a TE1 option as he's seen only nine targets through two games. He can put up efforts like he did in Week 2 though (8-69-1), so if you're rocking Fred Davis right now as a starter in your deep league Fleener is worth a look.FAAB BID: $5-10Garrett Graham, Texans
He's scored in each of the Texans two games. He's also caught only seven passes for 57 yards. Kind of like a Kyle Rudolph Jr., Graham is only of value when scoring and he can't keep up this season season pace. This week I was facing The Machine in two of the three leagues that were drafted. Here are the results.League 1: The Machine 120 pts, The Oracle 116.70Martellus Bennett was huge for me with 26.6 points, but Steven Ridley was a killer with a mere four points which cost me the victory. I mean if the guy had gotten eight points I would have emerged the victory. A painful loss to The Machine.League 2: The Machine 143.85 pts, The Oracle 166.70I put a beat down on that stinking computer in this one taking out my ire for the four point loss in the other matchup. Michael Vick (37.7 points), Marshawn Lynch (34.5) and Matt Forte (27.1) crushed it and in the process I took down the Machine.Score: 1 to 1You can pick up your copy of The Machine right now.
