I’m stepping in for Howard Bender for our MLB Best Bets and Betting Picks for Saturday, May 13, and looking to keep the recent momentum going. The Major League Baseball season is a grind, and as many bettors know, there tend to be peaks and valleys. Parlays are always fun and exciting, but like Howard mentioned in a recent article, let’s log a few consistent winning days, and then look to start “hanging it all out there,” as he so eloquently put it. Within some of these best bets below, there will be many MLB player props that you can bet on, or players that you can slide in your MLB DFS lineups. There’s baseball all day, and my best bets of the day  just so happen to be spread out, so we can enjoy some baseball, and ideally win some bets, all day long. Without further ado, here are my MLB best bets of the day for Saturday, May 13.

MLB Best Bets for May 13

Seattle Mariners at Detroit Tigers

Bryce Miller has been dynamite to start the season and I expect that to continue today against the Detroit Tigers. Miller has just one walk through his first two starts of the season, and the Detroit offense hasn’t taken a fourth ball all that often over the last two weeks. I love the Seattle bats against Alex Faedo today, and expect Julio Rodiguez, Ty France, and Jarred Kelenic to start the fireworks early in this one. Faedo has a career 5.86 ERA at home, and a career 5.96 ERA in the first four innings of games. We should be okay with weather in Detroit, and Seattle will look to stay hot here in the month of May.

Pick: Seattle Mariners First 5 Innings -0.5 Run Line (-115 FanDuel Sportsbook)

Kansas City Royals vs. Milwaukee Brewers

Kansas City’s Zack Greinke has been abysmal on the road this season, serving up a 9.22 ERA and 3.95 HR/9 across three starts. The Brewers are an above average unit against right-handed pitching and have the tenth-highest OPS versus righties this season. Greinke has allowed at least four runs in all three of his road starts this season, and he’s done so in five of eight starts overall. Milwaukee favors left-handed power in particular, and Greinke has served up a 3.95 HR/9 on the road this season, as well as a .519 SLG to left-handed hitters.

Pick: Brewers Team Total OVER 4.5 Runs (-128 FanDuel Sportsbook)

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

I absolutely love the Dodgers offense tonight against Joe Musgrove. The ball should be flying out of the yard in Los Angeles with heavy winds blowing out, and Musgrove has hid his share of struggles since returning to action. Yes, he did just hold the Dodgers to one unearned run in his last start, but this start is drastically different. The wind blowing out massively favors hitters and Dodger Stadium plays far more hitter friendly than Petco Park. The Dodgers have a .717 OPS and 94 wRC+ on the road this year, compared to an .839 OPS and 131 wRC+ at home. Right-handed pitchers that have come to Dodger Stadium haven’t fared well, as the Dodgers are the best offense in baseball at home against righties, according to their .868 OPS and .240 ISO. The team’s .502 SLG and 138 wRC+ are also top-five in baseball against righties in their home park. This Dodgers offense is familiar with Musgrove, and quite a few guys have solid BvP data against him, and I don’t like Musgrove’s outlook tonight at Dodger Stadium.

Pick: Dodgers Team Total OVER 4.5 Runs (+104 FanDuel Sportsbook)
