Top Handcuffs

Dion Lewis, NE- Lewis is beginning to see a bigger role in the Patriots rushing attack as he adds an elusiveness that just is not there with the downhill running style of Mike Gillislee.  In Week 6 Lewis saw a season high 11 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown.  The touchdown was his second touchdown over the last three weeks and came in a goal to go situation which most would have assumed would have gone to Gillislee.  In Week 7 we get a Super Bowl rematch as the Falcons face the Patriots.  Atlanta has struggled against pass catching running backs which is something Dion Lewis is also very capable of providing to the Patriots offense when on the field.

Chris Ivory, JAX- With Leonard Fournette questionable for Sunday’s contest against the Colts the running game will fall on the shoulders of Ivory who is averaging 4.1 yards per carry this season and has also showed off some pass catching ability, particularly in Week 6 when he caught nine passes for 74 yards and a touchdown.  The Colts really struggle to stop the run which makes Ivory a must add for all Fournette owners.

C.J. Prosise, SEA- The running game in Seattle is still horrid but in Week 7 it could get a boost as Prosise is returning from injury and is apparently ready to go.  When healthy Prosise has some big play ability but more than likely he will return to his role as the team’s pass catching back but if he runs well Carroll could chose to go with the hot hand and stick with him.

Top Handcuffs

Adam Humphries, TB- The Buccaneers slot receiver did more of the same in Week 6 as he caught 6-of-7 targets for 51 yards. In PPR leagues that was his third double-digit fantasy outing over the last four weeks.  During that four week stretch he is averaging about five catches on seven targets for 60 yards.  He likely won’t find the end zone much this season but he is on pace for 830 yards on 74 catches and should Mike Evans or DeSean Jackson get injured his value would boost.

Bennie Fowler III, DEN- With Emmanuel Sanders already ruled out for Week 7’s contest against the Chargers fantasy owners will see Fowler bump into the No.2 receiving role within the Broncos offense.  In Week 6 Fowler caught 3-of-8 targets for 21 yards.  While the stat line is far from inspiring I do like the fact that he saw eight targets in this contest.  Two weeks ago against the Bills Fowler saw seven targets so without Sanders he should definitely get the looks.

TJ Jones DET- With Golden Tate expected to miss “multiple weeks” fantasy owners will see Marvin Jones become the team’s No.1 receiver with T.J. Jones likely becoming the No.2 receiver while Kenny Golladay continues to be sidelined with a hamstring injury.  Jones saw nine targets in Week 6 against the Saints and had averaged four targets a game prior to that in a more limited role.

Top Handcuff

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, NYJ- Yeah I get that this does not quite fit the article profile as ASJ is the starting tight end for the Jets and Josh McCown’s favorite target but he deserves to be written about given just how productive he has been at a position where most players are mediocre at best.  ASJ is a free-agent in nearly 40 percent of standard leagues and seeing as he is among the Top 5 best tight ends this season he needs to be on a roster.
