OG (World rank: #15) vs. Complexity (World rank: #30) – 7:00 A.M. ET
Moneyline Odds: OG (-255) | Complexity (+205)
Map Handicap: OG -1.5 (+125) | Complexity +1.5 (-155)
This is a best-of-three on LAN for BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 - Knockout stage round one. Losing team moves to the Fall Showdown.
OG - Rating at event: degster 1.15 | flameZ 0.95 | NEOFRAG 0.80 | nexa 0.76 | F1KU 0.68
OG - Rating past three months: degster 1.23 | flameZ 1.11 | NEOFRAG 1.04 | nexa 1.03 | F1KU 0.99
Complexity - Rating at event: Grim 1.05 | FaNg 1.03 | floppy 0.93 | hallzerk 0.84 | JT 0.81
Complexity - Rating past three months: Grim 1.11 | hallzerk 1.10 | FaNg 1.02 | floppy 0.99 | JT 0.87
H2H Data:
These rosters have never faced each other. The teams faced each other in June, though both teams have changed their AWPer since then. OG won that series 2-1 (11-16 Overpass / 16-8 Vertigo / Inferno 16-11), however Grim had the most kills with 64 across three maps, while flameZ led with a 1.25 Rating.
Prediction: Complexity wins 2-1.
Complexity are playing with a newfound confidence with hallzerk in the lineup, and I think they are a live underdog here. Complexity took down NAVI to open this event (though s1mple was out for that map) and they played a really competitive map against Liquid, who are also playing really well at the moment. Complexity have a 6-2 W/L record across eight maps played with this lineup, and their dominant wins in the IEM Road to Rio 2022 NA open qualifiers were a positive sign right out the gate. I see OG as a team that is sort of trending in the opposite direction. OG got off to a hot start with degster, taking down NAVI & ENCE, but they have come back down to reality a bit since then, and they lost their most recent best-of-one against Astralis, who have been shaky in the past few weeks. The map pool looks to be wide open here and I think this should be a pretty competitive series, so I am happy to ride with Complexity given the odds/Draftkings pricing.
- FaNg leads CoL with 0.11 opening kills per round, while JT leads with 31.1% opening duel attempts across three maps played at this event.

Ninjas in Pyjamas (World rank: #9) vs. Evil Geniuses (World rank: #100) – 10:30 A.M. ET
Moneyline Odds: Ninjas in Pyjamas (-1300) | Evil Geniuses (+815)
Map Handicap: Ninjas in Pyjamas -1.5 (-275) | Evil Geniuses +1.5 (+215)
This is a best-of-three on LAN for BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 - Knockout stage round one. Losing team moves to the Fall Showdown.
Ninjas in Pyjamas - Rating at event: REZ 1.22 | es3tag 1.03 | Brollan 0.99 | hampus 0.98 | Plopski 0.84
Ninjas in Pyjamas - Rating past three months: REZ 1.12 | Brollan 1.12 | hampus 1.10 | es3tag 1.01 | Plopski 0.94
Evil Geniuses - Rating at event: HexT 0.70 | Brehze 0.67 | CeRq 0.67 | RUSH 0.64 | neaLaN 0.63
Evil Geniuses - Rating past three months: HexT 1.03 | neaLaN 0.96 | Brehze 0.67 | CeRq 0.67 | RUSH 0.64
H2H Data:
These rosters have never faced each other.
Prediction: NiP wins 2-0.
NiP are the biggest favorites on the slate, so I won’t waste too much time here. Evil Geniuses are the lowest-rated team at the event by a wide margin with a 0.66 Team Rating across two maps played, and they have managed only a 0.58 K/D ratio during that time. EG have the four lowest-rated players at the event with neaLaN, RUSH, CeRq, and Brehze and they simply look outclassed against tier one competition. Sure, maybe EG are slightly underrated given their potential, but there is just no way that they would be able to take two maps from NiP in this spot. I expect NiP to roll on Thursday, and I prefer to play their most aggressive players (hampus, Brollan) as they should farm kills.
*UPDATE: It looks as though autimatic should be back in the EG lineup instead of RUSH on Thursday. This doesn't affect much for me, though autimatic could be an interesting tournament punt at only $4K salary on DK.
- Brollan leads NiP with 0.14 opening kills per round, while hampus leads with 29.1% opening duel attempts across three maps played at this event.
Favorite Draftkings Plays (In order of priority):
hampus ($8,400) | Brollan ($10,200) | es3tag ($7,000) | REZ ($9,400) | Plopski ($6,400) | CeRq ($4,600)
G2 (World rank: #14) vs. BIG (World rank: #11) – 1:00 P.M. ET
Moneyline Odds: G2 (-130) | BIG (+105)
Map Handicap: G2 -1.5 (+205) | BIG +1.5 (-255)
This is a best-of-three on LAN for BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 - Knockout stage round one. Losing team moves to the Fall Showdown.
G2 - Rating at event: m0NESY 1.24 | NiKo 1.23 | huNter- 1.03 | jks 0.73 | HooXi 0.67
G2 - Rating past three months: NiKo 1.22 | huNter- 1.10 | m0NESY 1.08 | jks 0.73 | HooXi 0.67
BIG - Rating at event: tabseN 1.37 | faveN 1.12 | Krimbo 1.12 | syrsoN 1.09 | k1to 0.98
BIG - Rating past three months: syrsoN 1.13 | tabseN 1.07 | k1to 1.07 | Krimbo 1.02 | faveN 1.00
H2H Data:
These rosters have never faced each other.
Prediction: BIG wins 2-1.
BIG are currently the highest-rated team at this event with a 1.14 Team Rating across three maps despite their 1-2 W/L record, and tabseN is the second highest-rated player at the event with a 1.37 Rating so far. BIG decided to bring k1to back into their lineup to replace tiziaN, and I think this current lineup is ideal because it gives them the maximum amount of firepower. On the other side of the server, G2 does not look like a finished product. Jks & HooXi have both struggled so far since joining the team, and I’m just not sold on the current iteration of G2. Nuke has replaced Dust2 as the most played map for BIG in the past three months, though both maps look strong for the Germans right now. BIG have their highest win rate on Mirage and Overpass, plus they can ban away one of G2’s strong maps, like Inferno or even Ancient, so the map pool looks favorable for them on paper. I feel more confident in the synergy of BIG’s roster at the moment, and I think the map pool should look pretty good for them here, so I am taking BIG as a slight underdog.
- tabseN leads BIG with 0.20 opening kills per round and 34.6% opening duel attempts across three maps played at this event.
Favorite Draftkings Plays (In order of priority):
