CFB DFS Week 12 Wednesday Top Plays

Collin Schlee- Kent QB ($8.2K DK/$11.0K FD)

Schlee can be a gun slinger that looks first for high-risk receivers downfield, but he can do that when he has a Top-25 offensive line in pass protection putting up a wall in front of him. After losing three of his last four games Schlee went bananas against Bowling Green in Week 11 and threw for 214 yards connecting with eight different receivers, totaling three touchdowns in the air and another on the ground in the blowout. He is third in the MAC in passer rating (136.8) and is also second on the team in rushing with 403 yards and four touchdowns scored. Kent is projected to have the highest total on the slate and Schlee should be in for another 25+ fantasy point game.

Marquez Cooper- Kent RB ($7.5K DK/$9.8K FD)

Cooper is second in the MAC in total yards (1,106) and just one of 18 FBS players who is averaging more than 100 rushing yards per game on the year. Since Week 3 he has scored double-digit fantasy points in every game but one (Week 6- Miami) and over his last four games he is carrying the ball an average of 27.5 times for a 141 yard/3 TD average. Cooper should easily add to that tonight against an Eastern Michigan defense that is giving up 165 rushing yards per game in MAC play.

Mac Hippenhammer- Miami (OH) WR ($5.9K DK/$7.5K FD)

With Brett Gabbert back behind center for Miami (OH) Hippenhammer becomes a top play at receiver with an affordable $5.9K tag on DraftKings. The senior wide out leads the team with 41 receptions, 551 yards, and seven touchdowns but even more intriguing is that 24 of Hippenhammer's 41 catches have come from Gabbert even though they have only played a full three games together. The popular QB/WR combination from 2021 hit pay dirt last week against Ohio when Gabbert hit Hippenhammer eight times for 107 yards and three touchdowns and there is no reason not to expect another big performance again tonight against Northern Illinois.

Corey Crooms- Western Michigan WR ($7.4K DK/$8.8K FD)

Crooms enters this evening and the big rivalry game with a chance to set a new single-season career-high for receiving yards. He needs just 44 more yards to pass his previous high of 768 set last year. Crooms was Treyson Bourguet’s main target last week with seven receptions for 105 yards and in two games playing with the freshman quarterback he has 15 receptions for 256 yards and a score. He won’t come cheap tonight but with an average of 9.7 targets over his last four games (12.5 over last two) and 14.9 DK fantasy points Crooms is the top overall receiver on the slate.

CFB DFS Week 12 Wednesday Top Values

Jaiden Credle- Northern Illinois RB ($5.5K DK/$4.2K FD)

Without their top two running backs - Harrison Waylee and Antario Brown (the best duo in the MAC) NIU used freshman Jaiden Credle. In his first game as a starter, he was a workhorse running the ball 36 times for 136 yards and a touchdown. Waylee and Brown are both questionable again and if they are not back and/or if Credle will get the start again, he proved that he is more than capable of putting up a monster fantasy performance.

Ja’Shaun Poke- Kent WR ($4.9K DK/$7.7K FD)

If leading receiver Dante Cephas misses again this week Poke becomes an even more dangerous Kent receiving weapon alongside red zone target Devontez Walker. Poke has 23 catches for 249 yards on the season and is averaging 8.5 targets and 5.8 receptions for 62.3 yards receiving over his last four games. Poke, a senior, has refined his abilities as a wide receiver since he came to Kent as a defensive back and is now an explosive down-the-field threat for Schlee. Poke is the top value receiver of the slate.

Others to consider:

Brett Gabbert- Miami (OH) QB ($6.2K DK/$8.4K FD) 4 TDs/0 turnovers last 2 games

Sean Tyler- Western Michigan RB ($6.6K DK/$8.7K FD) 301 Yds/2 TDs last 3 games

Devontez Walker- Kent WR ($6.1K DK/$9.6K FD) 5 TDs last 3 games & MAC TD catch leader- RZ target

Lew Nichols III- Central Michigan RB ($6.2K DK/$9.0K FD) Can nuke the slate- make sure he is playing

Hassan Beydoun- Eastern Michigan WR ($5.9K DK/$6.2K FD) 6 targets per game last 4

Tanner Knue- Eastern Michigan WR ($6.2K DK/$8.0K FD) coming off 12 DKFP game

Miles Marshall- Miami (OH) WR ($4.3K DK/$5.9K FD)

DraftKings & FanDuel Core

Collin Schlee- Kent

Marquez Cooper- Kent

Mac Hippenhammer- Miami (OH)
