I'm thrilled to introduce you to my Week 3 edition of CFB DFS picks! Although last week's slate wasn’t all that hyped up, we did witness some exciting games with standout players.

I hope you all managed to come out ahead in Week 2 and are excited for my CFB DFS picks for Week 3! This week offers a more promising slate than the previous one, so I'm optimistic about uncovering some great value for us to take advantage of.

CFB DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Playbook & Schedule: September 14th

Gear up to explore my favorite of all the available CFB DFS projections for Week 3 of the college football season! In this Saturday's article dedicated to CFB DFS picks, we’ll be looking at the thrilling matchups scheduled for September 14th.

There are some key matchups and players to keep an eye on, so let’s jump into this week’s CFB DFS projections and my latest CFB DFS picks for this Saturday!

CFB DFS Lineups: Quarterbacks

Jalen Milroe, Alabama Crimson Tide

The Heisman hopeful hasn't really put up gaudy numbers up to this point (besides the touchdown department, both passing and rushing), but he hasn’t had to. Now, with the Crimson Tide on the road at Wisconsin, this should finally be a game where he’s utilized throughout. Even as is, he’s averaging 33.5 FPPG.

Will Rogers, Washington Huskies

Rogers bounced back from a subpar performance in the season opener to put up a strong Week 2 showing. This week, the Huskies play their in-state rival Cougars, and Rogers will be relied on throughout by this UW coaching staff. I could easily see him surpassing his 25.7 fantasy points that he put up last time out.

Hudson Card, Purdue Boilermakers

If you’re looking for cheaper options, Card is an absolute steal this week. He’s a veteran who’s been around the college game for quite some time and now has the chance to lead his squad to a victory over a ranked but reeling Notre Dame team. The Boilermakers only have played Indiana State thus far, but Card went 24/25 in that game for 273 yards, 4 touchdowns and no picks.

CFB DFS Lineups: Running Backs

Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State Cowboys

“Put Ollie Gordon II in your DFS lineups.” Rinse. Repeat. Gordon actually had a less-than-stellar effort last time out from his standards (16.9 fantasy points), but he has the chance to put up special numbers in Week 3 against an atrocious Tulsa defense. They’ve already let up 56 total points this season to the likes of Northwestern State and Arkansas State.

Desmond Reid, Pittsburgh Panthers

Reid is quickly becoming one of my favorite weekly CFB DFS picks, and it’s easy to see why. After collecting 33.6 fantasy points in Week 1, he went out to amass 43.4 in Week 2. We’ve already seen West Virginia allow Penn State to run for 220+ yards as a team. At this price, Reid is almost a must-play.

Darius Taylor, Minnesota Golden Gophers

Taylor got his first action of 2024 last weekend and looked solid, rushing for 64 yards and a touchdown. I’d like to think that was just a warmup game for him as he has the tools to be a dominant runner this season. Minnesota isn’t very good, but they should be able to route Nevada by way of the ground game led by Taylor.

CJ Donaldson Jr, West Virginia Mountaineers

From a DFS perspective, Donaldson was a dud in Week 1. He still managed to punch it in the endzone though, and with last week’s rushing touchdown, he’s now in prime position to make it 3 weeks in a row with a TD on the ground. He’ll definitely get the carries (13 on average), and if he manages anything close to his 9 YPC in Week 2, look out.

CFB DFS Lineups: Wide Receivers

Tez Johnson, Oregon Ducks

I like Johnson to get back involved in the Oregon offense just as he was in Week 1. The Ducks should be looking to make a statement, and what better way to do that than by putting up points against a rival? They’ll need Johnson’s help to do so. It’s worth mentioning that even last week when he was held to just 3 catches, the added value of him as a punt returner is nice - he took one to the house in Week 2.

Brennan Presley, Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Cowboys may be my favorite offense to hitch my wagon to as it pertains to CFB DFS. Ollie Gordon II is great, but did anyone see what Presley did last week? Forget his statline of 9-91-1, the dude had 19 TARGETS! What’s even crazier is that this is his THIRD career game with 19 targets. Against Tulsa in Week 3, I’d be shocked if he didn’t have a standout performance.

Theo Wease Jr, Missouri Tigers

Luther Burden III is the Mizzou wideout everyone talks about, but Wease has been the better option so far this season. After a quiet Week 1, he exploded for 149 yards on 13 catches a week ago. The Tigers have a competitive matchup here too with Boston College coming in, so the only thing worth monitoring before slotting Wease into lineups is his health.

Kamdyn Benjamin, Tulsa Golden Hurricanes

The philosophy behind these last two guys is simple: I see them trailing big from the start and needing to throw the ball in an effort to quickly score and get back in the game. That’s perfect for a guy like Benjamin, who’s put up weeks of 23.5 and 28.1 fantasy points, respectively. The value here is certainly worth taking a shot on.

Cortez Braham Jr., Nevada Wolfpack

The same analysis from above can essentially be copied over into this section as well. Braham looks to be the top option for Nevada on offense, leading them in yards, targets and receptions in Week 2 after a solid 16.6-point fantasy showing in Week 1. I’m not really sure why he’s priced cheaper now than he has been the entire season, but I’ll take it.
