College Basketball CBB DFS Top Plays December 29th

CBB DFS Top Guards

Jalen Cook- Tulane @ Cincinnati ($7.2K)

We have one of the best fantasy games of the slate as both Tulane and Cincinnati sport top-100 offenses nationally- Tulane enters the game ranked 96th in KenPom, while Cincinnati is 71st. Tulane is also ranked 87th nationally in offensive efficiency and are led on offense by Cook (20.2 PPG, 2.0 RPG, 5.3 APG). He runs the show, leading the team with a 30.3% usage rate (33rd nationally) and a 30.7% shot rate (61st nationally), and you know what we think of 30/30 players in CBB DFS.

Tylor Perry- North Texas vs. Florida Atlantic ($6.3K)

Perry, the UNT senior guard was cruising toward what everyone expected to be a monster year when what looked like disaster struck. He turned his knee going for a steal in practice last month and ended up missing two weeks but he avoided a more serious injury. TP is now fully back and the point guard fully knows his role making everyone better around him. He is carrying a 27.1% usage with a 27.7% shot rate to go along with 20.0% assists plus he now has 28+ DraftKings points in four straight games and players nearly every minutJavan ttttt. Perry and Jalen Cook will be anchoring my cash lineup tonight.

Other Top Guards

Top point per $ Plays

  • Bryce Hopkins G/F- Providence ($9.0K) One of the best overall plays but sure is expensive
  • Jayden Taylor- Butler ($6.1K) Love the play and price; 2.7% Steal rate
  • Primo Spears- Georgetown ($7.9K) Great game environment; priced up but could hit 40+ DKFP
  • Umoja Gibson- DePaul ($7.4K) Was $9K+ in November and coming off a solid game against Creighton (his best since 12/10 UTEP game).
  • Jay Heath- Georgetown ($6.4K) 27+ DKFP in 3 of last 5 games

CBB DFS Value Guards

Jalen Terry- DePaul vs. Georgetown ($4.6K)

Terry came into his own last season and the more he played the more comfortable he became on the floor. Now he's turning it on and after missing the last two games with injury, Terry made his return in a big way with a season-high 14 points on Christmas Day against Creighton. Before his injury, Terry put up two 25 DKFP games in the last three and is logging 25+ minutes. At $4.6K Terry is the top value of the slate and will be popular in cash lineups.

Top point per $ value plays

  • Nick Boyd- Florida Atlantic ($4.4K) 30+ DKFP in 4 of last 6 games- 19.1% DReb rate
  • Mike Adams-Woods- Cincinnati ($5.5K) 20+ DKFP in 4 of last 5
  • Alyn Breed- Providence ($3.9K) 15+ DKFP in L5
  • Connor McCaffrey G/F - Iowa ($5.5K) Coming off a wrist injury but could go off - GPP only

CBB DFS Top Forwards

Derrick Walker- Nebraska vs. Iowa ($7.7K)

Walker is the Nebraska usage leader at 25.9% to go along with a 23.8% shot rate. He has not gone under 20 DKFP in the month of December and over his last five games is averaging a near double-double at 14.0 PPG and 8.1 RPG. Even better is that Walker is 77th in the nation with a 13.2 offensive rebound rate and 32% combined. Tonight's matchup is tough against Iowa but it's a pace-up and just the type of game that Walker may nuke.

Viktor Lahkin - Cincinnati vs. Tulane ($6.5K)

Lahkin has been the AAC's most improved player so far this season. The Cincy forward Viktor Lakhin is averaging 12.9 Pts and 7.6 Rebs and has been awesome since returning from the Maui Invitational- averaging 15.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks over the past six games. He is still learning the game but is one of the five most efficient shooters in the nation at 71.7% with block and steal numbers rising plus is coming off career highs in points and rebounds last week. Teammate Kalu Ezikpe has been terrible this season leaving Lahkin to carry the load and he should shine again tonight facing Tulane where Kevin Cross is the only player over 6'6".

Other Top Forwards

Top point per $ Plays

  • Kris Murray- Iowa ($9.1K) Awesome matchup and should be 100% finally
  • Branden Carlson- Utah ($8.3K) 14.2 PPG/7.1 RPG L5- slow game environment
  • Bryce Hopkins- G/F - Providence ($9.0K)  One of the best overall plays but sure is expensive; 17.3 PPG/10.5 RPG L5
  • Javan Johnson- DePaul ($9.0K) 40+ DKFP in 4 of last 7 games
  • Eral Penn- DePaul ($7.2K) Solid 25 DKFP floor
  • Qudus Wahab- Georgetown ($6.6K) Can be tilting but 25+ DKFP in L5T

CBB DFS Value Forwards

Tylan Pope- Tulane @ Cincinnati ($3.7K)

Pope comes off the bench but at this $3.7K price he is probably the top value of the night especially if Collin Holloway and Jadan Coleman continue to miss. He has scored at least 14 DKFP in seven of his last eight games and over 20 DKFP in his last three. This is one of the top pace up games of the night and if Pope can play 20-25 minutes he will get another 6X-type game.

Top point per $ value plays

  • James Keefe- Stanford ($5.4K) Coming off 14 point/8 rebound (31 DKFP) game
  • Kuany Kuany- California ($5.1K) Coming off 25 DKFP game
  • Brandon Angel - Stanford ($5.2K) Five straight double-digit DKFP
  • Ben Carlson- Utah ($4.1K)
  • Grant Newell- California ($4.9K) Double-digit DKFP every game since 11/18
  • Monty Bowser- California ($3.0K)
