College Basketball CBB DFS Picks

CBB DFS Top Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
Caleb LoveARIZORE870034.36
Arizona has the 2nd-highest projected team total on this slate, so Caleb Love has to be a top overall play for us. He’s averaging 21.3 PPG and 38 DK over the past 10 games and has been a consistent DFS stud throughout conference play. Love went off for 36 points and 46 DK in the first meeting vs Oregon and now gets the rematch at home.
Ace Baldwin Jr.PSUMINN850031.28
Ace Baldwin doesn’t offer as much GPP upside as other top-priced guys, but he’s been a consistent cash stud for a month now. The Penn State point guard is averaging 16.1 points, 7.7 assists, 2.7 steals, and 37 DK over the past 10 games in a high-usage role. Baldwin is PSU’s clear lead playmaker with Kanye Clary off the team and he’s locked into heavy shot volume and assists for a safe cash floor.
Trey AlexanderCREMARQ830035.26
Baylor Scheierman has been the better DFS play from Creighton almost all season, but Trey Alexander can actually give us the same production while being about $1,000 cheaper. He’s averaging 20.3 points, 10.9 assists/rebounds, and 38 DK over the past 10 games and his numbers tend to rise at home. Alexander was excellent vs Marquette earlier this year with a stat-stuffed 39 DK effort and he can repeat that with his current top-tier form.
Antonio ReevesUKARK800030.27
As always with the Kentucky guards, we have multiple guys in play depending on your contest type. Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham are your upside GPP plays with plenty of potential but some bust risk as well. Antonio Reeves, meanwhile, is much more consistent for cash lineups. He’s averaging 21.2 PPG and 32 DK over the past 10 games and regularly puts up numbers. Reeves had 24 points and 35 DK vs Arkansas earlier this year and should have similar success at home here against a shaky defense.
Chucky HepburnWISCIL670022.77
We have an elevated price tag for Chucky Hepburn but it’s warranted because he’s been playing a lot better lately. The Wisconsin point guard has 37, 44, and 30 DK in three of the past four games while shooting much more efficiently. We’ve seen flashes of this from Hepburn this season but he’s at a more consistent level. There’s GPP upside to keep it going in a home pace-boost matchup.
Ja'Kobe WalterBAYKU670025.71
When Baylor faced Kansas earlier this season, Ja’Kobe Walter had a great game with 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 34 DK. The stud freshman hasn’t been consistent this season with weak ancillary stat production, but he always has GPP potential to outperform this sub-7k price tag. Walter’s previous success vs Kansas (on the road, too) is a good sign he can do it again in this home rematch. RayJ Dennis is the safer cash stud from Baylor if you want to go that route.

Elijah FisherDPUBUTLE550018.87
On the surface, rostering any DePaul player is a risky proposition. Still, Elijah Fisher has been scoring and producing even when DePaul loses big. He’s averaging 11.1 PPG over the past 10 games with DK outputs of 23, 31, 24, 21, and 24 over the past six contests. He also had 13 points and 23 DK vs Butler earlier this season. Fisher isn't a bad salary-saver for the price.
Adou ThieroUKARK550019.89
Adou Thiero continues to be a solid cheap way to get exposure to Kentucky’s high-scoring games. The wing has been playing a bigger role lately, in terms of minutes and all-around stat accumulation, with Tre Mitchell sidelined. It looks like that’ll continue on Saturday, giving Thiero a better chance at double-digit points scored and 25-30 DK in a fast-paced home matchup.
Stevie MitchellMARQCRE510017.71
Definitely check the Tyler Kolek injury news before this slate. If Kolek is out, then Stevie Mitchell and Chase Ross are much better value plays with bigger roles in the Marquette backcourt. Tre Norman also becomes an interesting dart throw. As for Mitchell, he had 31 and 26 DK in two games earlier this season when Kam Jones was hurt. We could see him take on a bigger role again this weekend if Kolek sits.
Zachary DavisSCARUF500013.04
Zachary Davis has 16 and 14 points scored with 22 and 25 DK, respectively, in the past two games with Myles Stute out – playing 30+ minutes in both. The larger minutes share and offensive role give him a higher floor if Stute remains out this weekend. Stute has a knee sprain and doesn’t have a timetable to return, so Davis should be a very solid value again in a home pace-boost matchup.
Hakim HartVUPROV490015.53
With TJ Bamba and Jordan Longino out last game, Hakim Hart played a bigger role in Villanova’s backcourt as a starter. He had 24 DK in 29 minutes, and we could similar production this weekend if Bamba and.or Longino are out again. Hart has been a solid value at different times this year but we’ll gladly take the sub-5k option depending on Nova’s injury news.

Hunter DickinsonKUBAY880039.66
Outside of a couple of bad games, Hunter Dickinson continues to be a safe cash play with plenty of GPP upside at his best. The Kansas center is averaging 16.4 points, 10 rebounds, and 35 DK over the past 10 games with his locked-in shot volume and offensive role. He had a solid 30 DK vs Baylor earlier this season and that should be his floor for this rematch. If Kevin McCullar remains out, then Dickinson’s offensive potential is even higher.
Oumar BalloARIZORE820031.04
Oumar Ballo has been a double-double machine lately and it gives him a strong cash floor. The Arizona center has now recorded a double-double with 32+ DK in eight straight games while averaging 14.2 points, 11.9 boards, and 34 DK over the past 10 contests. He “only” had 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 25 DK vs Oregon in the first meeting but we can expect a better performance this time around with how well he’s playing.
Dawson GarciaMINNPSU770031.93
Targeting opposing bigs vs Penn State has been a good strategy since PSU has the worst interior defense and worst total rebounding rate in the Big Ten. It’s a good matchup for Dawson Garcia, who had 22 points and 30 DK in the first meeting vs PSU. The Minnesota big man is averaging 17.9 PPG and 30 DK over the past 10 games and should come through for cash lineups at home in this spot.
Oso IghodaroMARQCRE720031.25
Since he’s coming off two down games, Oso Ighodaro is at his cheapest DK price in nearly two months. It’s a nice buy-low opportunity because the Maruqette big man has a good chance of outperforming his discounted salary now. First off, Ighodaro will surely have a bigger offensive role if Tyler Kolek is out. Either way, he had 16 rebounds and 29 DK vs Creighton earlier this season and shouldn’t go overlooked despite the road matchup vs Ryan Kalkbrenner.
Steven CrowlWISCIL690025.31
Illinois is allowing the highest rate of interior scoring in the Big Ten and has allowed some big games to opposing centers already. It sets up well for Steven Crowl to have one of his ceiling games. Crowl’s home/road splits are notably in favor of him performing better at home (12.5 PPG and 27 DK) tonight. The Wisconsin center is boom-or-bust but has 30+ DK upside to exceed value in this home matchup.

CBB DFS Value Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
B.J. MackSCARUF610023.57
B.J. Mack has been very up-and-down for DFS during conference play, but this is a favorable matchup. It’s a pace-boost spot at home against Florida’s weaker inside defense. Mack has come through in his easier matchups and he should bounce back from an ugly showing at Texas A&M this week. The price is really cheap for a guy that can return 5x value at his best.
Tyler BurtonVUPROV550020.13
Keep an eye on Villanova’s injury report. With Jordan Longino and TJ Bamba out last game, Tyler Burton took on a bigger role with 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 25 DK. It was good to see him bounce back with a good game after being demoted to the bench recently. This is tied for Burton’s cheapest DK price of the season, so it’s a buy-low opportunity on a guy that could be in the 6k range.
Zvonimir IvisicUKARK480013.2
Kentucky’s frontcourt rotations continue to fluctuate and Zvonimir Ivisic apparently has a bigger role after barely seeing the court in recent games. Ivisic has played 20 minutes in back-to-back games with 18 points/32 DK vs Alabama and then 15 DK vs Mississippi State. The Tre Mitchell absence definitely gives Ivisic more minutes, but it seems Calipari is trusting him more right now. He’s worth a GPP dart throw to smash value like he’s done a few times this season.
