NHL DFS Playbook: March 21

After going quiet for a month or so, McDavid is back! He has five straight multi-point games, it's just a matter of deciding if he is worth his cost in a tough matchup. I would lean no, but he is the most dynamic player in the world and he should be motivated for this game.

Hartman has four points in his last five games and is also coming off a five-shot game. This should be a good matchup for the Wild to score lots of goals, so getting Hartman tonight could pay dividends.

Eichel survived his first injury scare with Vegas, and came back and had a point against the Kings. He will face a Wild team that went out and got a goalie today for reason, so look for Eichel to continue his good play.

Coyle seems to of come out of nowhere to have seven points in his last five games while playing on the Bruins' third-line. It is often difficult for players in the bottom six to keep up this kind of production, but you should try to take advantage of it while his production is high and his price is low.

Sissons has five points in his last three games, including two multi-point games. Much like Coyle this production likely isn't sustainable, but his price is low so try and take advantage while he is hot.

Forsberg continues to light the lamp, with 5 goals in his last five games, three multi-point games, and two five-shots games in that time span.

The First thing make sure you keep an eye on Dadonov's status, as he could be traded today. He is getting top powerplay time, and he has three goals in his last two games, all at a discount price.

Kaprizov continues to be a stable source of points. He has five points, which includes four goals in his last five games, and this should be a good matchup for him against Vegas.

Nichushkin has taken over Landeskog's spot on the top line and looked great doing so. He has four points in his last two games, and at least three shots in each of his last three.

Greenway has scored in three games and he has back-to-back six-shot games as well.

Kane continues to play well for the Oilers. He has had five shots or more in three of his last five games, and five points in his last three games.

Caufield has been a completely different player since Martin St.Louis came in. He looks dynamic again, with five goals and seven points in his last four games.

Marchand continues to take lots of shots in five or more in each of his last three games, and points in four of his last five games.

Josi leads all players in points over the last seven days. He has three straight three-point games and he has had at least four shots in four of his last five games.

Barrie over the last five games as suddenly returned to form. In that time he has eight points, and he has had four shots in each of his last two games.

Makar is always a wild card. We know he can get you multiple points on any given night, but he does have nights where he gives you nothing which keeps him firmly in the GPP space for me.

if you're looking for a discount on defence Ekholm is the player I would go with. He has scored a goal in two of his last three games, and he has been providing a steady number of shots over these last five games as well.

Pietrangelo has scored a goal in three of his last five games and continues to be among the defencemen who shoot the most.

Kuemper hasn't played in six days, but in his two starts prior to that, he had shutouts in both.

Ullmark has had back-to-back good starts for the Bruins, and Ullmark has been much better on the road this season than at home.

Typically I don't love Saros at home, but Anaheim was a seller today and has really struggled lately in general.

This is a winnable game at home against Vegas, and Talbot should be motivated if he hopes to hold the net once Fleury joins the team.
