Jaguars signed Memphis QB Seth Henigan.

Jacksonville head coach Liam Coen called Henigan a “coach’s kid with a ton of production and a natural stroke.” Henigan (6’3/215) was a four-year starter at Memphis who left school as the AAC’s all-time leader in passing yards (14,266) and passing touchdowns (104) while also throwing 31 interceptions. The raw counting numbers are impressive, but Henigan’s accuracy numbers (64 percent career completion percentage) never stood out, nor did his arm strength, but he possesses decent athleticism to evade defenders and did well when it came to protecting the ball, throwing 31 interceptions in 50 career games while boasting a respectable 2.7 turnover-worthy play rate. When you factor out rushing yards lost on sacks, Henigan ran for 1,346 yards and 10 scores in his career. Henigan will make plays with his feet when needed. His experience as a starter will make him an interesting player to track in training camp, but his inability to make consistent plays beyond the short area of the field will likely limit his overall upside.

Hunter Tyson (ankle) will remain sidelined for Game 6 against the Thunder on Thursday.

Tyson was a late addition to the injury report ahead of Game 4 and will miss a third straight game. Tyson hasn’t been part of the rotation, so his absence will not impact things for Denver.

Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis will start against the Knicks in Game 5 on Wednesday.

In Boston’s first game without Jayson Tatum (Achilles), Porzingis will make a return to the starting unit in a bigger lineup for the Celtics. Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser and Luke Kornet should fill out the reserve minutes.

Cardinals RHP prospect Sem Robberse underwent Tommy John surgery.

Robberse will be on the shelf likely until the second half of the 2026 campaign. The 23-year-old righty made only four starts this season at Triple-A Memphis before requiring surgery.

Matthew Lugo is in center field and batting eighth on Wednesday against the Padres.

Lugo gets the nod over a slumping Kyren Paris after coming off the bench to crush a two-run homer during Tuesday’s showdown at Petco Park. The unheralded 24-year-old prospect is hitting .300 (3-for-10) with two homers and four RBI in five games since being called up last Friday from Triple-A Salt Lake. He’s an intriguing talent with a real chance to carve out a role in Los Angeles, especially with Paris mired in an 11-for-83 (.133) slump since blasting two homers back on April 10.

Kody Clemens hit a three-run homer in the top of the eighth to propel the Twins to an 8-6 win over the Orioles in the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader.

A doubleheader sweep. Clemens also had an RBI single before giving the Twins the lead by taking Yennier Cano deep in the eighth. It was Clemens’ second homer in 22 at-bats and 11 appearances since being picked up by Minnesota. The OBP skills aren’t there to make him a quality platoon option, but he has managed 16 homers in 398 career at-bats as a major leaguer.

Simeon Woods Richardson was tagged for six runs in four innings by the Orioles in the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader.

All of the runs came in the third inning, when he gave up a grand slam and a solo homer. The Twins don’t ask Woods Richardson to pitch deep into games at all, so he needs to do considerably better than his current 5.02 ERA. Still, the team has gone 5-3 in his outings anyway, even as he’s won just twice. He’ll probably stay in the rotation and face the Guardians next week.
