Mariners placed RHP Logan Gilbert on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow flexor strain.
Gilbert underwent an MRI that revealed the strain after leaving Friday’s game against the Marlins. The 27-year-old right-hander will be out of action for at least two weeks, and flexor strain’s typically lead to longer stints on the injured list than a minimum stay. The Mariners will need to add a new starter to the group, and that could be an arm like Logan Evans.
