That’s certainly not something that fantasy managers ever want to hear. Gilbert had fired three perfect innings with three strikeouts before being lifted after only 29 pitches (20 strikes). It’s possible that the M’s were just being especially cautious with their prized right-hander, but it looks like a terrible development. Expect Gilbert to undergo additional testing and imaging to see exactly what’s going on there. The M’s should have an update on his status after the game concludes.

Darvish threw a 48-pitch simulated game last week. Padres manager Mike Shildt indicated that the 38-year-old veteran doesn’t need too much additional time to build up before making his season debut. The club will evaluate him following Monday’s throwing session to determine his next steps. All signs point to him rejoining San Diego’s rotation by the end of the month.

Lively was removed from the contest after throwing a couple warmup tosses at the outset of the fourth inning. The 33-year-old righty scattered one hit and a pair of walks over three frames to open Monday’s game at Progressive Field. There should be an update on his status following the game.

Buehler remains in line to take the ball early next week in a series against the Mets. The 30-year-old righty hit the injured list back on May 2 with shoulder bursitis. His return would likely sent rookie Hunter Dobbins back to Triple-A Worcester.

Dekkers spent three seasons with the Cyclones of Iowa State before stepping away from football following an indictment surrounding charges related to sports gambling. He then played his final collegiate season at Iowa Western before being invited to Saints camp. Dekkers spent his redshirt season backing up Brock Purdy at Iowa State.

While Hauser was listed as questionable for Game 4 with an ankle injury, he hasn’t seen any game action since leaving early in Game 1 of the series. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla turned to Payton Pritchard for a series-high 35 minutes off the bench in Game 3 as the Celtics got back in the series with a 22-point victory. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see that recipe for success replicated in Game 4.

Kirby looked sharp on Saturday in his second rehab outing for Triple-A Tacoma, striking out five batters and throwing 54 pitches (36 strikes) over three innings. The 27-year-old fantasy ace is expected to need one final tune-up before rejoining Seattle’s rotation for his season debut in late May.
