He hit a run-scoring triple early that was just a few feet shy of clearing the fence and then came around to score the walk-off run on a ground ball by James Wood that barely left the infield. Abrams was running on the pitch, but he genuinely flew around the bases and barely beat the tag at home plate. He runs like a gazelle when he gets going and few players in the league are more dynamic than Abrams when he’s playing well.

Castillo has been jettisoned from Arizona’s active roster to make room for Kendall Graveman to return from the injured list. The 29-year-old lefty posted an unsightly 11.37 ERA across five relief appearances this season in the majors.

It’s the first known interest we’ve seen of Davis, who was released by the Jaguars last week with a failed physical designation. The 49ers will likely be without Brandon Aiyuk to start the season, and the idea of adding another veteran to the room is appealing. Kyle Shanahan can turn a lot of football players into something fantasy-interesting, but Davis might be a step beyond even his schemes.

Happ remains out of Chicago’s lineup for the third consecutive game due to a lingering oblique issue. It’ll be rising fantasy star Pete Crow-Armstrong leading off for the third straight contest in his place. It’s worth noting Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Sunday that Happ will return to the leadoff spot once he’s back. There’s been no indication that he’ll require a trip to the injured list.

Altuve returns to Houston’s lineup at second base and batting second on Monday evening against Kansas City following a one-game absence due to right hamstring tightness. The 35-year-old veteran fantasy stalwart is getting more brittle as he ages, but he’s managed to avoid the injured list this season while transitioning to a brand-new multi-position role. Fantasy managers can confidently lock him into weekly lineups.

Strider will be re-evaluated following Wednesday’s throwing session before Atlanta determines whether he’ll rejoin the rotation this week or make another minor league rehab start. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers. There’s a chance Strider is cleared to take the ball this weekend for Atlanta, but there will likely be some workload restrictions from a pitch count standpoint, which makes him a risky option in weekly leagues ahead of Monday’s lineup lock.

Here we go. Acuña is going to require at least a couple weeks of minor-league rehab games before he’s ready to make his highly-anticipated season debut. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar remains without a definitive return timetable, but appears on track to return to Atlanta before the end of May or at some point in early June. He’ll get a couple games under his belt in Florida before facing some higher level competition in the minors.
