Christopher Morel homered and doubled in a win for the Rays over the Diamondbacks on Wednesday in 11 innings.
Morel’s second homer of the season tied the game at 1-1 in the second inning off Eduardo Rodriguez. The double was the fourth of the season, and one of five two-baggers that Tampa Bay hit in the extra-inning win. Morel has been so-so in 2025 thus far with a .258/.329/.409 slash along with seven RBI and two steals over 22 games and 66 at-bats.
Heliot Ramos went 3-for-4 in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Monday.
Ramos was one of the few hitters who had any offensive success against Merrill Kelly in a game where the GIants were held to just one run by Kelly and the D-Backs’ bullpen. The three knocks ups his average to .290, and he’s been on fire in the month of May with a .400/.472/,800 slash over his 30 at-bats in that timeframe.
