ESPN’s Peter Schrager believes the Steelers “don’t like” QB Shedeur Sanders.

Schrager made the statement during a SportsCenter segment Wednesday morning alongside ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Field Yates. Schrager had the Steelers taking Sanders in a recent mock draft, but said he had no confidence that Pittsburgh would use the 21st pick in the draft on the Colorado quarterback. Though Schrager said Sanders “could succeed in Pittsburgh,” he said some sources have told him the team is not all that interested in him. Schefter said the Steelers have other needs to address in the draft, including defensive tackle and running back. If Sanders doesn’t land with the Steelers, he’s likely to drop out of the first round altogether.

Brenton Doyle is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks.

It appears to be a routine day off for Doyle, who has started 19 consecutive games since April 26. The 27-year-old center fielder, who has struggled to a .186/.226/.254 triple-slash line with one homer and two steals over his last 15 games, was dropped to the fifth spot in Friday’s lineup amid his ongoing slump. He’s also been dealing with a personal matter over the past few weeks away from the field. The hope for fantasy managers is that a mental break away from the game helps get him back on track.

He also walked. The Phillies overcame a 3-1 deficit by scoring seven runs in the seventh and eighth innings tonight. Harper is eighth among active players with his 1,001 RBI. He tied and then overtook Darryl Strawberry on the career list tonight.

He basically hasn’t pitched anywhere in the last four years besides an extremely brief stint with the Nippon-Ham Fighters over in Japan.

Josh Jung is batting third on Saturday against the Astros.

Jung has been steadily rising up Rangers manager Bruce Bochy’s lineup card recently as he’s hitting .440 (11-for-25) with four homers and eight RBI over his last seven games. The 27-year-old third baseman got off to a frosty start at the dish, but he’s really heated up in recent weeks. He’ll continue to get opportunities in the middle of the order with Corey Seager (hamstring) on the injured list.

Guardians activated RHP Slade Cecconi from the 15-day injured list.

Cecconi will make his Cleveland debut on Saturday night when he takes the ball against the Reds following a seven-week absence to open the season recovering from a left oblique strain. The 25-year-old righty was the centerpiece of the Josh Naylor trade with the Diamondbacks during the offseason and figures to play a prominent role in the Guardians’ rotation mix for the next couple years.
