Nick Kurtz will be officially promoted for Wednesday’s game against the Rangers.

As expected, Kurtz is not in Tuesday’s lineup. He’s already joined the Athletics at Sutter Health Park for Tuesday’s series opener against the Rangers, but won’t be officially promoted until Wednesday’s contest since veteran lefty Patrick Corbin is on the mound for Texas. Athletics general manager David Forst told reporters that Tyler Soderstrom will see time in left field and at DH when Kurtz is at first base. The 22-year-old top prospect projects as an immediate four-category impact fantasy contributor and should be rostered in all formats.

Jamal Murray (illness) is questionable for Game 6 against the Thunder on Thursday.

Murray is a late addition to the injury report with an illness ahead of Thursday’s Game 6. With the Nuggets facing elimination, it seems likely that Murray will play through the illness. If not the Nuggets would be forced to rely more heavily on Russell Westbrook and Payton Watson.

Royce Lewis went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a win over the Orioles on Thursday.

Lewis singled in a run in the seventh to extend the Twins’ lead to 4-0. It’s just the second multi-hit game for Lewis since returning from the injured list, but both have come in the last four games. Expect to see the former first-overall pick drastically improve his .148/207/.148 slash in the coming weeks/days.

DaShawn Keirsey Jr. hit a two-run homer in a win for the Twins on Thursday over the Orioles.

Keirsey hit his first homer of the season and the second of his big-league career with a two-run shot off Tomoyuki Sugano. The 28-year-old still is hitting just .103 with a .179 slugging percentage, so fantasy managers shouldn’t expect many more roundtrippers from Keirsey in 2025.

Tomoyuki Sugano allowed four runs while working 6 1/3 innings to take a loss to the Twins on Thursday.

The long ball did Sugano in — relatively speaking — as he gave up a two-run homer to Dashawn Keirsey Jr. and a solo blast to Byron Buxton in the third inning. Outside of that it was mostly smooth sailing for Sugano as he allowed just two more hits with one walk and three strikeouts until giving up a run in the seventh. The 35-year-old rookie will face the Brewers next week and take a strong 2.91 ERA into that outing even after giving up the four-spot against the Twins.

Chris Paddack didn’t give up a run over seven innings while allowing just three hits to help the Twins to a 4-0 win over the Orioles on Thursday.

The Twins have now won 11 straight with the sweep of the Orioles. Paddack struck out three, and issued one walk. Two of the hits were doubles, but he was able to keep Baltimore off the scoreboard with some help from his defense and solid pitching from the 29-year-old right-hander. Paddack has looked the part as of late, and it’s worth pointing out that nine of the 23 runs he’s allowed this year came in his first start. He’ll look to continue dropping his 4.05 ERA against the Guardians on Wednesday.

Spencer Strider (hamstring) will come off the 15-day injured list next week to start against the Nationals.

The exact date of the start hasn’t been announced yet, but either way it’s good news. Strider only threw 65 pitches in his simulated start and reportedly had diminished velocity during that outing Wednesday, but Atlanta doesn’t seem too concerned. Even with some risk, fantasy managers should have Strider in their lineup for that bout against Washington.
