Ty France went 2-for-4 and drove in a run on Sunday afternoon as the Twins triumphed over the Tigers.

France led off the second inning with a single and scored the team’s second run on a two-out RBI single by Brooks Lee. He then drove in a run of his own with an infield single in the sixth inning that extended the Twins’ lead to 4-1. All France has done is hit so far this season, slashing .298/.355/.456 with a pair of homers and eight RBI. He’s locked into the middle of the Twins’ lineup on a nightly basis and makes for a decent corner infield option in deeper leagues.

White Sox sent INF Jacbo Amaya outright to Triple-A Charlotte.

Amaya was jettisoned from Chicago’s active roster earlier this week when the club claimed Vinny Capra off waivers from the Brewers. The 26-year-old infielder hit just .097 (6-for-62) with one extra-base hit through 33 games this season, which is — checks notes — not what you want.

Wilyer Abreu is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against Atlanta.

Abreu is back in right field and hitting fifth on Saturday night against Atlanta right-hander Grant Holmes. The 25-year-old righty-mashing corner outfielder was left on the bench for the Red Sox’ previous two games when they faced elite left-handers Chris Sale and Tarik Skubal.

Hunter Greene (groin) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Sunday.

It was mistakenly put out on Friday by beat reporters that Greene was scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Saturday, but that has since been corrected by Reds manager Terry Francona. The 25-year-old fantasy ace will throw his first side session since hitting the injured list back on May 9 with a low-grade left groin strain. He’s probably going to need at least one minor league rehab outing before returning to Cincinnati’s rotation, likely by late May or early June.

Nuggets interim head coach David Adelman said Aaron Gordon (hamstring) is a “true game-time decision” for Sunday’s Game 7 against the Thunder.

Gordon injured his left hamstring during Denver’s Game 6 victory on Thursday. While ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Friday evening that the forward’s status for Game 7 is in serious doubt, the Nuggets are hoping that Gordon will play. He’ll be evaluated once he arrives at the arena on Sunday, with the medical staff determining Gordon’s availability and, if cleared, how much he can play. Peyton Watson, Russell Westbrook and Julian Strawther will all have heightened importance if Gordon cannot play.

Byron Buxton (head) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s contest against the Brewers.

The positive news here is that Buxton cleared concussion protocol on Friday following a scary-looking head-to-head collision with teammate Carlos Correa during Thursday’s game against the Orioles. The 31-year-old center fielder figures to be available off the bench, but the Twins are apparently going to give him some extra time off to rest and recover out of an abundance of caution.

Willi Castro (knee) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Brewers.

Castro will get some extra time off to rest and recover following an early exit from Friday’s contest after fouling a pitch off his right knee. The versatile 28-year-old has been diagnosed with a contusion and appears to have avoided serious injury. There’s a chance he’s back for Sunday’s series finale and fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
