Tanner Scott tossed a clean ninth inning to record a save against the Braves on Tuesday.
After Blake Treinen got the eighth inning, Scott took over in the ninth to close out the game with a two-run lead. He induced three groundouts, needing just ten pitches to secure the win for Los Angeles with his second save of the season. While Treinen and possibly Kirby Yates could remain in the mix for the occasional save chance, Scott is set to lead the group on a team that appears poised for triple-digit victories after starting 7-0.
Heliot Ramos went 3-for-4 in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Monday.
Ramos was one of the few hitters who had any offensive success against Merrill Kelly in a game where the GIants were held to just one run by Kelly and the D-Backs’ bullpen.
