Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) has been upgraded to available to play against the Suns on Tuesday.
As expected, Giannis will be good to go. Milwaukee needs him at his best if they want to move back into fifth in the East and avoid dropping down into the Play-In Tournament. He has scored at least 30 points in four consecutive games and had 31 points and 10 rebounds when they played the Suns last week.
Logan Henderson will start on Tuesday against the Orioles.
Henderson is still floating on the waiver wire in the majority of fantasy leagues, including nearly 80 percent of Yahoo! leagues, despite posting a stellar 2.45 ERA and 16/2 K/BB ratio across two starts in the majors this season. The 23-year-old top prospect struck out seven and limited Cleveland’s lineup to two runs over five innings earlier this week and will remain in Milwaukee’s injury-depleted rotation mix moving forward. He’s in line for a tasty matchup against a Baltimore lineup that has underperformed this year, ranking 25th in runs scored and 22nd in OPS as a team. Henderson is at least worthy of a speculative pickup in all fantasy formats.
Anthony Santander (shoulder) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Tigers.
It’ll be veteran George Springer in right field with Santander out of the lineup for the second straight game and fifth time in the past eight contests. The Blue Jays are proceeding with an abundance of caution since Santander is still experiencing left shoulder discomfort stemming from an incident back on May 8 when he dove into the stands for a foul ball. The 30-year-old slugger is presumably day-to-day for the moment. It’s a situation fantasy managers should continue monitoring closely.
Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) remains without a definitive timetable to begin a minor league rehab assignment.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters that Stanton, who progressed to taking live batting practice earlier this month, will continue working his way back from offseason elbow issues. It’s abundantly clear that the club isn’t rushing his rehabilitation process in an effort to avoid any potential setbacks. At this point it’s challenging to envision a scenario where he’s back before the second half.
Jake Cousins (elbow) has been shut down from throwing for 4-5 days with pectoral discomfort.
Cousins ins working his way back from a flexor strain in his right elbow, so it’s an encouraging sign that the issue is unrelated. The 30-year-old righty hasn’t started a minor league rehab assignment yet, so it’s looking like he’s at least a few weeks away from any potential return to New York’s bullpen.
Blue Jays promoted RHP prospect Trey Yesavage to High-A Vancouver.
Yesavage has emerged as one of the premier pitching prospects in the dynasty landscape this season in his professional debut for Low-A Dunedin, recording a stellar 2.43 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 55/8 K/BB ratio across 33 1/3 innings (seven starts). The 21-year-old righty was the 20th overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft out of East Carolina University and offers enough strikeout upside as a starter to make him intriguing for fantasy purposes as he continues ascending towards the big leagues.
White Sox recalled LHP Jared Shuster from Triple-A Charlotte.
Shuster returns to Chicago’s relief mix with fellow southpaw Tyler Gilbert hitting the injured list with an MCL sprain in his left knee. The 26-year-old has registered an inflated 7.59 ERA across 10 2/3 innings (eight appearances) this season in the big leagues.
