Cole Sillinger will play for Team Canada in the World Championships.
Sillinger had 16 goals and 31 points in 79 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The tournament will give the 18-year-old rookie forward a little more high-level experience before he begins his offseason training. As he noted, even after 79 regular season games, he doesn't feel too worn down. "I’m young," Sillinger said. "The tank’s not too empty, honestly. ... I feel pretty good. Would be ready for 28 more (in the playoffs) if that was the case."
Cole Sillinger scored a goal in Columbus' 5-2 win over Tampa Bay.
Sillinger has only been held off the scoresheet once in his last four games. He has 16 goals and 31 points in 78 contests in 2021-22.
Rookie Cole Sillinger scored his 14th of the season Sunday.
Not a bad rookie season for Sillinger who is still only 18 years of age. The 12th overall choice in the 2021 Draft, Sillinger has 27 points in 73 games. He will only get better and is worth a late pick in next season's pool. He was also a minus-four, making him a minus-23 this season.
Cole Sillinger scored a goal and registered an assist in a 5-1 win against Montreal on Wednesday.
Sillinger has contributed at least a point in three of his last four games. He's up to 13 goals and 26 points in 71 contests in 2021-22.
