Matthew Boldy scored a goal in his first NHL game on Thursday versus Boston.
Boldy scored what held up as the game winner at the 12:26 mark of the third period. He gave the Wild a 3-1 lead at the time. Boldy concluded the contest with four shots on goal over 13:13 of ice time. He was chosen with the 12th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft by Minnesota.
Matthew Boldy is slated to make his NHL debut on Thursday against Boston.
Boldy was called up from the minors on Tuesday. He skated on a combination Brandon Duhaime, Frederick Gaudreau and Rem Pitlick, while working on the power play. Boldy has four goals and 10 points in 10 games with Iowa of the AHL this year.

The Wild's first pick and 12th overall in 2019, Boldy fractured his ankle during a pre-season game and was sent to Iowa of the AHL just a couple of weeks ago. He had four goals and seven points in seven games prior to the injury. Stay tuned.
Matthew Boldy got his AHL season off to a great start with two goals and an assist on Friday and a goal Sunday.
The first round pick and 12th overall selection in 2019, Boldy missed the start of the season with a fractured left ankle suffered in a pre-season game against the Blackhawks. He just returned and the Wild sent him to the minors to get in some playing time. His quick release was evident in all three goals. Keep an eye on Boldy as the Wild are very high on the prospect.
