It was a long year for the Habs, but they ended it on a positive note and they also secured the best draft lottery odds. Caufield got off to a horrendous start this year, but he really took off after Martin St. Louis took over behind the bench. The 21-year-old finishes the year with 23 goals and 43 points in 67 games during his first full NHL season. He could score 30-plus goals next year. 

Caufield managed a goal against Erik Kallgren late in the second period to cut into a 3-1 deficit, but his would be the final Montreal goal to score in the contest. The 21-year-old forward has posted 22 goals and 38 points in 57 games played this season.

Caufield scored for the second consecutive contest. He has 16 goals and 35 points in 55 games this season.

Caufield led all first-year players with seven goals and 15 points in 15 games. He posted the most points by a Montreal rookie in a single calendar month since Michael Ryder in January 2004 when he had 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 14 matches.
