The Senators are hoping that Pinto will be ready to return in late March or early April. He has an assist in five games in 2021-22.
Shane Pinto and the Ottawa Senators have not decided as of yet as to whether or not he will have possible season-ending surgery to fix his dislocated right shoulder.
Pinto was injured last Saturday as he re-injured the shoulder that had kept him out of action for over two weeks previously. “They haven’t told me yet, but he’s not going to be back anytime soon. We’ll have more information as we go along here,” coach D.J. Smith said Saturday. If Pinto has the surgery, there will be a four-six month rehab period which could end his season.
