His scoring prowess has already shown to be a considerable asset for us and one that will help us reach the next level. His dedication and the pride he takes in his physical conditioning will serve as a great example for our next wave of young players." Norris was a restricted free agent after completing his entry-level contract. He produced personal bests in just about every category in 2021-22, while generating 35 goals and 55 points in 66 games.   

Norris, saw his seven-game points streak come to an end on Saturday, got right back at it with his 47th point of the campaign in 56 games. He is worth a mid-round pick in fantasy pools next season.

Norris gave the Senators a 2-1 advantage early in the third period, but they simply couldn't hang on for the win. He finished the night with an even rating, five shots on goal and four hits in 22:19 of ice time. The 22-year-old has an impressive 31 goals and 46 points in 54 games this season. Norris is riding a seven-game point streak. 

Norris scored twice in the second period, including a power-play marker, to open up a 3-1 lead for the Senators. He completed his first NHL hat trick and reached the 30-goal plateau for the first time at the 18:23 mark of the third period when Detroit had an empty net. Norris has four goals and three assists during a five-game point spree.
