Toronto GM Kyle Dubas doesn't appear to be concerned about a potential offer sheet for pending RFA Rasmus Sandin.
"If there's going to be an offer sheet, the sooner the better so we can make our decision and move on," said Dubas on Wednesday. He also stated that Sandin is a big part of the team's future.
Rasmus Sandin (knee) is fully healthy, but it's unclear when he will be in the lineup.
Coach Sheldon Keefe said Monday that Sandin is an option if needed. However, it doesn't sound like the comfort level is there to drop him into the halfway point of a playoff series given his lack of reps. Sandin hasn't played since Mar. 19 because of a knee injury.
Rasmus Sandin (knee) won't be an option for Game 1 on Monday versus Tampa Bay, per coach Sheldon Keefe.
Sandin was on the ice for Sunday's practice. He was paired with Justin Holl during the session. Sandin hasn't played since Mar. 19 because of a knee injury. He had 16 points, 46 shots and 88 hits in 51 games during the regular season.
Coach Sheldon Keefe said on Wednesday that Rasmus Sandin (knee) is unlikely to play on Friday in the team's regular-season finale.
There was some hope that Sandin would be able to play prior to the start of the playoffs, but it appears as though that won't be the case. He has been out since Mar. 19 because of a knee injury.
