Jacob Middleton has signed a three-year contract with the Minnesota Widl
The deal has an average annual value of $2.45 million. In 66 games during the 2021-22 season with San Jose and Minnesota, Middleton posted four goals, 14 points, 82 penalty minutes, 73 shots, 124 blocks and 118 hits.

It was Middleton's first goal as a member of the Wild after he was picked up at the trade deadline for Kaapo Kahkonen and a fifth round pick. The underrated defenseman has 10 points in 54 games and it was his first point as a Wild in nine games.
Jacob Middleton is expected to make his Wild debut on Thursday.
The Wild acquired Middleton from the San Jose Sharks on Monday. Now with the Wild, he's been paired up with Jared Spurgeon. Middleton has three goals and nine points in 45 contests.
