Filip Hronek compiled four points via a goal and three assists in Saturday's 10-7 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Hronek picked up an assist on Lucas Raymond's first-period goal, but he didn't truly begin to shine until the third period, when the Red Wings were desperately trying to come back from a big 7-2 deficit. He scored a goal just 35 seconds into the third period, then proceeded to assist on goals by Carter Rowney and Joe Veleno. While Detroit was, on multiple occasions, able to draw to within one goal during the final 20 minutes of regulation, Thomas Greiss (who had come on for starter Alex Nedeljkovic) proved incapable of holding fort as the period progressed. Overall this season, Hronek has scored five goals and 28 points over the course of 49 games played. This was Hronek's first game all season in which he has scored more than two points. There's just not much fantasy juice, here.
