The Penguins may have taken the bitter loss in the end, here, but that takes nothing away from Guentzel's huge series effort. His second-period goal against Igor Shesterkin on Sunday was his eighth of the playoffs. Over the course of 76 games played during the regular season, Guentzel rocked a career-best 40 goals and 83 points. 

No skater this postseason has been as prolific as Guentzel, who scored in both the first and second periods against Igor Shesterkin on Wednesday to give him seven total goals through five postseason contests. This was his second multi-goal showing this series. With his two goals accounted for in this one, Guentzel has now posted eight total points against New York.

Guentzel has kicked off the playoffs on a four-game winning streak. He's up to five goals and six points in four postseason contests.

The talented winger has four goals in the three games, tied for second place in the NHL behind only Evander Kane's five goals. Guentzel had another great regular season with 40 goals and 84 points in 76 games and deserves to be a second or third round pick in most pools next season.
