Chris Kreider underwent successful wrist surgery on Friday.
Kreider's procedure removed a small bone fragment from his wrist. He is expected to recover in two-to-four weeks, so his offseason training shouldn't be impacted too much and he will be ready for camp in the fall. Kreider scored a personal best 52 goals during the 2021-22 campaign and he posted a career-high 77 points in 81 games. He led the league with 26 power-play goals. Kreider was also credited with 258 shots and 141 hits. Kreider added 10 goals and six assists in 20 playoff contests.

That's the second most in NHL history, putting him in a tie with Justin Williams, Jaromir Jagr, Gilbert Perreault, and Maurice Richard. The only player with more playoff goals when facing elimination is Mark Messier, who finished with 16. That's amazing company to be a part of. Kreider provided an assist in New York's 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final. He had the secondary helper on a late power-play goal by Artemi Panarin. Kreider has four goals and four helpers during his point spree. He has accounted for 10 goals, six assists, 47 shots and 46 hits in 18 games this postseason.
