Jaromir Jagr

Jagr isn't sure how much longer his playing career will last, but he's still going at the age of 48. "I can't say how long I want to keep playing," Jagr said in November. "The game is getting more difficult. I think I kind of lost the drive when I wanted to prove that I'm still capable of getting better. I feel a lack of motivation to keep playing, though this year is definitely not the last in my career." He last played in the NHL with the Calgary Flames back on Dec. 31, 2017.

Jagr is 48-years-old, but he's still capable of contributing for Kladno in the Czech league. He scored 15 goals and 29 points in 38 games with Kladno last season. He isn't sure how much longer he can keep going, but he isn't willing to retire just yet. “I can’t say how long I want to keep playing," Jagr said. "The game is getting more difficult. While a return to the NHL is probably off the table at this point, as long as the 47-year-old legend continues to play hockey, there will no doubt continue to be speculation of Jagr making a return. The world-class winger conveniently owns the Czech team, so his inclusion in the lineup is probably a guarantee whenever he feels up to suiting up.

Jagr told reporters, "My only goal for now is to feel better tomorrow than I felt today and to make it a day-by-day process." While technically a free agent, one has to imagine Kladno would be the leading candidate for his services this season, considering the 45-year-old owns the team. While it may seem like a long shot, it would be unwise to completely rule out another stint in the NHL for the ageless wonder.
