Gourde's 21st of the season was the eventual game winner as he has 48 points this season. It was his fourth goal in the last six games. Adam Larsson and Victor Rask also found the back of the net for Seattle with Rask's goal going into the empty net.

Gourde posted a first-period goal against Jake Oettinger to put the Kraken up 2-0 heading into intermission, but a rough second period by Chris Driedger erased that advantage and flipped the scoreboard. In 70 games this season, Gourde has logged 20 goals and 46 points. He has now scored goals in three consecutive contests as he tries to finish the season in strong form.

Gourde is having a nice season in Seattle and has a little fantasy value with 45 points in 69 games. Winning the Stanley Cup back-to-back with Tampa Bay in the last two seasons, Gourde will find himself watching the playoffs, rather than participating this season as the Kraken are a long way from competing in the post-season.
