Tyler Myers scored a goal and assisted on another in Sunday's 5-2 win over the New York Rangers.
Myers scored his goal against Alexandar Georgiev with under 40 seconds remaining in the first period. He would later add an assist on Matthew Highmore's goal near the end of the second period. Overall this season, the veteran defenseman has tallied one goal (Sunday's) and 13 points across 54 games played.

Myers has a $6 million cap hit in each of the next three seasons and probably wouldn't have been viewed as a much of an option for the Kraken. Brock Boeser, Jason Dickinson, Bo Horvat, J.T. Miller, Tyler Motte, Tanner Pearson, Elias Pettersson, Olli Juolevi, Nate Schmidt and Thatcher Demko were also protected by the Canucks.
