Hathaway had been out with a non-COVID illness, but his return to the ice puts him on track for a return to action on Saturday afternoon against Pittsburgh. He skated alongside Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov during the session. Hathaway has 11 goals, 22 points, 105 shots and 212 hits in 64 games this year. 

It's a non-covid related illness for Hathaway, but it will cost him at least one game. He's day-to-day for now. 

Hathaway deprived Cam Talbot of a shutout with his goal midway through the third period. The Caps were still down multiple goals after he had his moment in the sun, though, and there was no miracle comeback in the offing before the game wrapped. On the whole this season, Hathaway has posted 11 goals and 22 points across 64 games played. He has not done enough statistically to warrant fantasy consideration this season.

Hathaway received a warning for an incident on Feb. 24 against the New York Rangers and his second citation, which triggered the fine, occurred on Mar. 18 versus Carolina. He has posted 10 goals, 21 points, 103 shots and 200 hits in 60 games this season.
