Zacha was acquired by Boston from New Jersey this past Wednesday in exchange for Erik Haula. He had 15 goals, 36 points, 148 shots and 80 hits in 70 games last season. Zacha just finished a three-year, $6.75 million contract.
The Boston Bruins have acquired Pavel Zacha from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Erik Haula.
Zacha had 15 goals and 36 points in 70 contests last season. He's a restricted free agent after finishing a three-year, $6.75 million contract. He can serve as a solid middle-six forward for the Bruins and although he's 25-years-old at this point, he still has some potential upside.
Pavel Zacha collected a pair of assists during Thursday’ss 6-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Zacha registered a primary helper on Fabian Zetterlund’s first-period goal (3-1) and he added a secondary assist on Jesper Bratt’s third-period tally (6-2). The two assists allowed Zacha to set a brand new career-high in points. The 25-year-old has 15 goals and 21 assists in 68 games this season. Even though he’s having his best offensive season, it’s fair to say he hasn’t lived up to the hype of being a sixth overall pick.
Pavel Zacha (upper body) will return to the lineup on Sunday afternoon against the New York Islanders.
Zacha had been out since Mar. 15 due to an upper-body injury. He has generated 13 goals, 28 points, 121 shots and 65 hits in 56 games this season.
