McCann is the Kraken's leading scorer this season with 26 goals and 47 points in 69 games. He has been a valued addition after the Kraken selected him in the expansion draft from the Maple Leafs. 

McCann started what was a stunning comeback attempt by the Kraken as he scored the first of three unanswered goals in the third period. However, the attempt fell short in overtime as Seattle took a penalty and Josh Norris finished the game on a beautiful shot that found the back of the net. McCann finished the game with a minus-1 rating, two shots on goal, and three hits in 12:36 of ice-time. The 25-year-old has 22 goals and 34 points through 52 games. 

McCann could have become a restricted free agent this summer. His new contract will start next season, so it will run through 2026-27. He has 21 goals and 33 points in 50 contests this season.
