Congratulations are in order for Edmundson who has endured a tough season due to a back injury and the passing of his father. 

Edmundson made his season debut on Saturday versus Seattle. He logged 16:38 of ice time, while posting six hits, two shots and two penalty minutes. It shouldn't come as a surprise that he won't play the second half of a back-to-back after such a long absence following a troublesome back issue. 

The Montreal Canadiens made the announcement Saturday morning after he was a full participant in practice Friday. The solid defenseman will help out the Habs blueline but has little fantasy value.

Edmundson has been on the shelf with a lower-back injury, which has been through several setbacks along the way. He was a full participant in Friday's practice, but an exact timetable for his return is unclear.
