MacKinnon was outstanding in the contest as he tied the score at 1 in the second period with a one-timer that easily beat Andrei Vasilevskiy from the faceoff circle and then drew the primary assist on Artturi Lehkonen's game winner. MacKinnon ends the playoffs with 13 goals and 24 points. Congratulations to the Avalanche on their Stanley Cup win!

MacKinnon has a 10-game points streak at home as he has picked up at least one point in every playoff game at Ball Arena this season. The Colorado center has 12 goals and 22 points in 19 games but he has picked up only four points in the five Stanley Cup Final games thus far.

MacKinnon was certainly due for a goal in the Cup Final after piling up 14 shots on target over the first three games of the series and being credited with eight more on Wednesday. He had two assists in the first three contests of the series and a six-game point streak that was halted on Monday, so it’s not like he was struggling offensively. Still, getting on the board must have given him some a sense of relief. 

MacKinnon has at least one point in every playoff game at Ball Arena in Denver in the 2022 playoffs and has 11 goals and 20 points in 16 games this season.
