The Islanders were pretty bad in this game, but goalie Ilya Sorokin managed to keep them in it. New York pounced on an opportunity in the third period when Parise finished off a three-on-none break to give the Isles a 1-0 advantage. The veteran has 15 goals and 33 points in 74 games. He's found the back of the net four times in his last three outings. Noah Dobson and Brock Nelson also scored for the Isles on Friday night. 

Parise opened the scoring for the Islanders in the second period with a marker that was set up by Mathew Barzal. The Islanders managed to get a couple more by Tristan Jarry but the goals were inconsequential to the result of the game. Parise has 14 goals and 18 assists in 73 games this season. 

Parise was feeling it early, putting home both power-play and short-hand goals against Casey DeSmith in the first period. New York would drop a 3-1 lead in regulation before rebounding to ultimately pull out a shootout win. For the campaign as a whole, now, the veteran forward has posted 13 goals and 31 points across 72 games played.

Parise has produced eight goals and 24 points in 60 games this season along with 95 shots on target.
