Vladislav Namestnikov has agreed to a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning worth $2.5 million.
Namestnikov registered 16 goals, 30 points, 91 shots, 39 blocks and 62 hits in 75 games for Detroit and Dallas last season. He started his NHL career as a member of the Lightning after he was selected with the 27th overall pick by the team back in the 2011 NHL Draft.
Vladislav Namestnikov didn't practice on Sunday, but he is expected to play in Game 1 against Calgary on Tuesday.
Namestnikov is expected to be back on the ice on Monday. He scored a goal in Friday's regular-season finale against Anaheim. Namestnikov had five points, 10 shots and 19 hits in 15 games for the Stars after he was acquired from Detroit.
Vladislav Namestnikov (lower-body injury) is warming up in advance of Saturday's game against the Seattle Kraken.
Namestnikov suffered a lower-body injury against the Lightning earlier in April. He has been out of action in the interim while rehabbing, but barring a late setback, it appears that the 29-year-old forward will try to play against the Kraken upcoming.
Vladislav Namestnikov (lower body) is considered to be week-to-week, per coach Rick Bowness.
Namestnikov was injured in Tuesday's game against Tampa Bay. Dallas plays two home games before going on the road in Canada for three contests. Bowness said Namestnikov is not expected to be on that road trip, as of right now. The team is hopeful that he can return before the end of the regular season, though.
