Dunn sat out the final four games of the 2021-22 campaign due to an upper-body injury. He declined to go into details.

Dunn teed up Daniel Sprong for his 12th goal of the season while on a power play in the opening frame. In the second period, the 25-year-old ripped a shot that was deflected by Matty Beniers for his second goal of his career. Finally the big defenseman picked up an assist on Jared McCann's empty-net goal to cap off a very productive night. Dunn has seven goals and 27 assists through 70 games this season.
