Scott Laughton (concussion) has been cleared to play, but the Flyers intend to be cautious with him.
It doesn't sound like Laughton will be back in the lineup on Saturday, but Sunday could be a possibility. His status will be evaluated this weekend. Laughton hasn't played since Mar. 10 due to a concussion and he is still currently listed on injured reserve.
Coach Mike Yeo confirmed on Friday that Scott Laughton suffered a concussion on Thursday.
“He’s concussed. Yeah. Obviously, I think you guys saw that. It’s a pretty tough hit to watch,” said Yeo. “Tough for all the players, especially because he’s so well-liked by all the players and he’s been playing so well for us, so it’s a tough one.” There is currently no timetable in place for Laughton's return to the lineup.
Scott Laughton (head) exited Thursday's game against the Florida Panthers early.
Laughton was injured in the second period of play. He had an impact to his head after taking a fall into the boards. Laughton posted an ice time of 6:53 before his early exit. He did not return to complete this game. The exact severity of his injury will be clearer after further evaluation.
