Graves was not among the top-three pairings, but he appears to be close to a return after getting cut in the chin by the skate in Colorado on Thursday. "When you reflect on it, it was definitely a scary incident. I'm lucky. It could have been a lot worse," he said. "When you look back at it, you realize how much worse it could have been if it was an inch closer or an inch lower down. If it's going to happen in that area, it's fortunate it happened the way it did." Graves received 19 stitches to repair the damage.
Ryan Graves (facial injury) will miss Saturday's game.

Ryan Graves registered three assists in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Graves might not have scored a goal of his own on Saturday, but he was instrumental in helping to set up the offense. He assisted on both of Nathan Bastian's first period goals, then went on to connect on the helper to Jesper Bratt late in the second period. Bratt's go-ahead goal snapped a 4-4 tie. On the whole this season, Graves has now scored three goals to go with 16 total points across 34 games played. Saturday's showing marked just his third multi-point effort of the 2021-22 campaign.
