Danault scored a power-play goal at the 11:06 mark of the third period to give the Kings a 4-2 lead at the time. The Oilers battled back to even the score, but the Kings took a 3-2 series lead thanks to Adrian Kempe's game winner. Danault has five points, nine shots, six blocks and 10 hits in five games this postseason. 

Danault scored on the power play to cut the Edmonton lead to 5-2 as he flipped the rebound of a Adrian Kempe shot over Mike Smith. Danault has two goals and an assist in three playoff games thus far.

Danault entered this series with a lot of hype because of his defensive abilities and what he was able to do with the Canadiens against Connor McDavid last season. Throughout the season, but especially on Monday night he proved that he's not just a one-trick pony as he helped set up Trevor Moore in the opening period for the first goal of the game. In the final frame, with the score tied (3-3), Danault tipped a puck past Mike Smith, who was way out of position on the play, for the eventual game-winning goal. Danault finished the game with a plus-3 rating, a shot on goal, three blocks, and a hit in 22:45 of ice-time. 

Danault will be given the night off because the Kings clinched a playoff spot. They rested certain veterans, including Anze Kopitar, last night, so the Kings are going to give another set of players the night off tonight. Matt Roy, Tobias Bjornfot, Trevor Moore, Lias Andersson, Viktor Arvidsson, Jacob Moverare and Austin Strand will also watch from the press box.
