“I’m getting older in my career so I don’t really have that much time left. So really for us, it’s that I just want to win,” Stastny told The Athletic on Monday. “It’s finding a good opportunity where you know you can help the team and you’re a good fit. Obviously it’s always hard thinking like that because there’s so many good teams you just never know what happens throughout the year." He added that waiting to see what teams do in terms of coaching decisions and player personnel changes will factor into his choice as well. 

It was Stastny's 20th goal and 40th point in 63 contests this season. This is his first 20-goal season since the 2013-14 campaign. It's worth noting that he's also just five points away from 800 on his career, so he might hit that milestone before the end of the season.

Stastny began his night with a power-play goal set up by Andrew Copp and Nikolaj Ehlers at the 13:38 mark of the second period. The 36-year-old also found the back of the net at the 12:19 mark of the third frame to give the Jets their first lead of the game (3-2). Stastny finished the game with three shots on goal in 15:31 of ice-time. He has 15 goals and 27 points through 44 games this season.

Stastny has 11 goals and 20 points in 30 games. Kyle Connor scored the game-winning goal and registered an assist. Winnipeg also got a goal from Nate Schmidt. Mark Scheifele, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Neal Pionk each registered an assist for the Jets.
