Michael Frolik is bitter at the Montreal Canadiens organization, saying they ended his NHL career.

Frolik, who is currently playing for Lausanne HC in the Swiss League, signed a contract last season with Montreal but they never gave him a chance to play according to Frolik. "The [Canadiens] just never gave me a chance," Frolik said. "Oh, they gave me eight games, on a fourth line in meaningless games. I can tell you that I am angry with the Canadiens. No one likes to be left out over and over again. The team ended my NHL career." Frolik signed a PTO with St. Louis before training camp but they let him go and the veteran of 858 NHL games signed on in Europe.

The St. Louis Blues have released Michael Frolik from his professional tryout agreement.

Frolik was attempting to make the Blues out of training camp, but it appears he ultimately didn't earn a job with St. Louis. He still might sign with an NHL club, though it wouldn't be surprising if it's on a two-way contract. He's a veteran of 858 games, so he brings plenty of experience to the table and could be a good mentor in the AHL as well as some added depth insurance in the event of NHL injuries if he's interested in that kind of role.
