Madison Bowey has signed a one-year, two-way contract with Montreal.
Bowey had 28 points and 80 penalty minutes in 53 AHL contests last season. Over 158 career NHL games, the 27-year-old defenseman has 40 points and 104 penalty minutes.
Madison Bowey will not dress for Thursday's game against the New York Islanders.
Bowey remains on the scratch list for Vancouver in this matchup. Joining him there is another regular scratch in Phillip Di Giuseppe. The team remains short Jason Dickinson (lower body), Kyle Burroughs (upper body) and Tucker Poolman (headaches).
The Vancouver Canucks won't dress Madison Bowey on Monday night against the New Jersey Devils.
