Kyle Turris (upper body) has been called up from the minors.
Turris, who is still currently listed on injured reserve, didn't see any AHL action with Bakersfield. He hasn't played for the Oilers since Mar. 5 when he logged just 4:41 of ice time against Montreal. Turris was moved to LTIR shortly later with what is believed to be a back injury.
Kyle Turris has been waived by the Edmonton Oilers.
Turris was put on long-term injured reserve on Mar. 9, so this move comes as a surprise. He played on Mar. 5 against Montreal, so he isn't even eligible to activated. Turris has one goal, three assist and 21 shots in 23 appearances this season.
Kyle Turris has been placed on long-term injured reserve by Edmonton.
Turris was activated from injured reserve last Thursday and he returned to the lineup on Saturday versus Montreal. However, he logged just 4:41 of ice time prior to being scratched on Monday.
The Edmonton Oilers won't play Kyle Turris on Monday night against the Calgary Flames.
Turris has a goal and four points in 23 games this season and will lose his spot in the lineup to Brad Malone. It is safe to say that the Turris signing has been a total bust for the Oilers.
