Justin Schultz has signed a two-year contract with the Seattle Kraken.
The deal has an average annual value of $3 million. Schultz had four goals, 23 points, 92 shots, 87 blocks and 40 hits in 74 games last season as a member of the Washington Capitals.

It was Schultz's first goal and second point in five playoff games this year. During the regular season, he had four goals and 23 points in 74 contests.

Schultz led the Caps in points on a night when 10 players on the team scored multiple points. Not too shabby. His assists came on goals by Matt Irwin, Garnet Hathaway and Johan Larsson -- all in the third period, when Washington was really starting to pour it on. On the whole this season, Schultz has now put up two goals and 18 points over the course of 65 games played.
Justin Schultz (upper body) is expected to play on Thursday night against Carolina.
Schultz has been three of the past four games, including the last two, because of an upper-body injury. He has two goals, 13 points, 50 shots and 51 blocks in 47 contests this season.
