Faulk opened the scoring in the final minute of the first period. The Blues also had a 2-1 lead until just past the midway mark of the third, but the Avalanche eventually broke through and eliminated St. Louis. Faulk had seven assists in 11 games this postseason going into Friday's match. 

Faulk had six assists in 10 matches this postseason going into Wednesday's Game 5 matchup of Round 2 against the Avalanche. He was initially credited with a goal in Wednesday's contest, but it was later given to Jordan Kyrou. Faulk had one shot, three hits and three blocks in 29:02 of ice time. 

Faulk is up to four assists in five playoff games this year. He contributed 16 goals and 47 points in 76 regular season contests.

Faulk's goal, just 30 seconds into the extra frame, was his 15th of the season and second of the game as the Blues blew a 4-1 lead that they had, heading into the final stanza. It has been a great offensive season for Faulk who has 30 helpers and 45 points this season. Logan Brown, Ivan Barbashev and Brandon Saad on the power play, also scored for St. Louis who won their 48th game of the season.
