Josh Anderson
Player News
Colorado has placed Josh Anderson on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract.
Anderson played in 12 games with the Colorado Eagles of the AHL last season and he posted one goal. He also suited up in 23 matches with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies in 2019-20 and he supplied six points (two goals, four assists). Anderson was set to enter the final season of his entry-level deal after he was chosen in the third round (71st overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
Anderson inked a three-year, entry-level deal with Colorado on Thursday.
Anderson set a career high in points in the WHL this season, as he notched 14 total split between the Prince George and Swift Current clubs. Selected in the third round of the 2016 NHL Draft, the 19-year-old uses his size (6-foot-3, 220 lbs) to play a physical style of game. The defenseman will likely spend some time in the minors before getting a crack at the Avs' lineup.
